Miami Beach, please.

This time last year, I had already booked the flight for the New Year’s Eve trip. Not that New Year’s Eve is particularly important to me – on the contrary, I actually think it’s the most overrated celebration of the year. Nevertheless, there is something positive about the festivities. They are associated with holidays and they want to be enjoyed to the fullest. Last year, Scotland was chosen quite early. A year before that, we celebrated in rainy Helsinki. This year I’m torn. On the one hand, the image of the lonely wooden hut in Finnish Lapland floats through my head. On the other hand, we could combine the trip with a trip across the pond. How about New York? Or Chicago? …. or would you like Miami again? True to the motto, all good things come in threes?

You see, there are already umpteen ideas buzzing through my head and somehow Miami doesn’t leave me any peace right now. I really like the city and appreciate the numerous possibilities that Miami offers as a starting point for a trip. Last time we sailed over to the Bahamas and then jetted over the Gulf Coast to New Orleans. The first time, we combined the trip with Caribbean island hopping. And because I’m in Miami right now, I’m going to show you souvenir photos from the last trip.
