Travel Snapshot – How to Beat Jet Lag
A first hello from sunny Florida and “for reasons” I would like to stay here only very briefly (the sea awaits me). When I land in the U.S. after a ten-hour flight, my best remedy for jet lag is not to go to bed too early after arrival (even though you almost don’t expect it).
Classic tips to combat jet lag are:
- Changing the clock at home
- Eat right, drink enough and no alcoholic beverages
- Do not use medication or sleeping pills
- Making use of daylight
- Stay in the rhythm of home on short trips
Since my internal clock usually still works according to European time the next morning, I wake up very early with daylight. But this is not a bad thing at all, because there is nothing better than enjoying the morning mood during a walk along the beach of Miami South Beach and thus internalizing the new rhythm of time. What are your recipes for jet lag?
