Berlin – the holiday apartment paradise

Thanks to my frequent travels to Berlin, I found my favorite type of accommodation after the first initial difficulties (overnight stay in a totally overpriced “hotel room” that resembled a broom closet), which I don’t want to withhold from you. Berlin is a true holiday apartment paradise that offers everyone the ideal holiday apartment for all budgets and other preferences.

At first I found it a bit strange to book a holiday apartment for a city trip, but especially if you travel in small groups, this type of accommodation is practical, cheap and comfortable. A big plus point is also the different perspective from which you experience the city. In my opinion, as a quasi-apartment owner, you get to know the daily life of Berliners more closely than if you spend the night in a hotel. I was always pleasantly surprised that the pictures of the apartments you see on the booking sites actually always corresponded to reality. We were delighted everywhere, from what we encountered (cleanliness, standard, décor, furniture).

I have already booked the following 3 cheap apartments once each & tested them extensively :-):

Apartment No. 1454 booked via Movitania (Apartments and Rooms Berlin)

I liked this apartment the most. It is located on Kantstrasse in Berlin Charlottenburg near the Wilmersdorferstrasse underground station. The only negative thing about this apartment is that it is on the 5th floor and it doesn’t have an elevator. We 7 girls had quite heavy suitcases and so we had to lug them around. Otherwise, the apartment is great. It is nicely modernly furnished, there is a washing machine and on request we also received a WiFi access code (free of charge). Since it was low season (mid-March), we only paid around 17 euros per person/night.

By the way, very close by, in the Wilmersdorferstrasse near the Karstadt, is the Café Bleibtreu, where you can have a very cheap and delicious brunch.

This summer I was booked in apartment no. 7 via tolle-wohnungen.de

This apartment is located in Schöneberg, just outside the city center near the U-Bahn and S-Bahn station Innsbrucker Platz. There was an elevator at this apartment. The apartment itself has a very spacious living room, a small “conservatory” and it has a dishwasher. What it didn’t have here, unfortunately, was an internet connection. Cost: 19 Euro per person/night (5 persons).

Nearby is Rathaus Schöneberg and next to it there is a beautiful park. I can recommend the nearby Akazienstrasse for strolling. There are also a lot of cute cafés there.

I also booked apartment no. 24 via tolle-wohnungen.de

Close to the Güntzelstrasse underground station on Bundesallee lies this maisonette apartment. It has a nice kitchen with dishwasher, a large living room and on the 2nd floor two bedrooms with two double beds and two single beds (costs around 20 euros per person/night). Unfortunately, there was no internet here either.
