Chile travel tips
The southernmost point of South America, the driest desert on earth, thousands of kilometers of almost untouched nature reserves and excellent cuisine – we were deeply impressed by Chile! On our 4-week trip, we visited the capital Santiago de Chile and the coastal city of Valparaiso, drove over 4,000 kilometers by car from Punta Arenas to Puerto Montt, and did a 4-day “off the beaten path” trekking around the rugged peaks of Cerro Castillos and fell in love with the desert landscape of the Atacama.
