Enjoyment time at the Hotel Cervosa
Continuing according to the motto “Discover mountain worlds”, my mountain summer trip took me to Austria last weekend. Oh, how I was looking forward to this time-out in beautiful Tyrol. This time we were guests at the 5-star Gourmet and Spa Hotel Cervosa in Serfaus and were curious to see what awaited us. From Zurich we took the Railjet directly to Landeck-Zams. There we had to wait about 45 minutes for the post bus. With sunshine and a nice station café, it wasn’t a big deal. The journey continued with the Postbus through the Upper Inn Valley until we reached our destination after about 50 minutes of driving. In total, the journey by public transport takes around 4.5 hours – there is potential for optimisation of the Postbus. However, since most tourists travel to Serfaus with their own car anyway (only about 3 hours drive from Zurich), there is probably too little interest.
So much for how to get there. All the rest was like in the catalogue – perfect! The Hotel Cervosa is constantly investing in the modernization of its premises and so our room with south-facing balcony presented itself with a modern appearance and bright colors. Very great is the spacious bathroom with rainwater shower and the fantastically soft duvet. For a moment I wondered if I should smuggle them home. Well, we could resist.
Gourmet & Spa are celebrated at the Hotel Cervosa. The wellness area was expanded by 3,000m2 a year ago and now offers a unique spa and relaxation experience. I was blown away by the outdoor infinity pool with a view of the mountains and the panoramic sauna, which is right next to it and offers the same great view while sweating. In addition, loungers and armchairs invite you to linger. Since we were lucky with the weather for once, we were able to fully enjoy the amenities in sunshine and a wonderful 25 degrees. Honestly, for this pool experience alone, I would go back to Cervosa at any time. But the wellness area offers even more – Tyrolean sweat room, stone bath sauna, organic old wood sauna, a rock grotto to cool off, various baths and a spacious indoor pool. You have to be careful not to get lost in the spacious rooms.
Since mountain air and relaxation make you hungry, the gourmet part should not be neglected. It starts with a rich breakfast buffet. As an interim refreshment, there is a wellness vitality buffet, which can also be enjoyed on the sun terrace. The gourmet day is rounded off with a delicious 5-course gourmet menu. For the duration of the stay, the guest is assigned a fixed table in one of the parlors. We enjoyed our meals in the rustic Tirolerstübchen and immediately felt at home thanks to many Swiss voices around us. It seems that the Swiss appreciate the Tyrolean hospitality and the great value for money of the Cervosa.
In any case, it convinced me. Of course, the variety of activities in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis mountain landscape also contributed to this. So that the bikini figure does not suffer too badly from the feasting made, outdoor sports were the order of the day in between – more on that tomorrow :) (otherwise the flood of pictures would probably kill you).
Note: This trip was supported by the hotel Hotel Cervosa – thank you very much for this. As always, my readers can be sure that I always represent my views and enthusiasm here.
