InstaTour – Slowenien via Instagram
Almost half the size of Switzerland, home to a quarter of the population (2 million), jagged Alpine peaks, huge forests with bears and 40 kilometers of the most beautiful Adriatic coast – this is Slovenia. Stefanie called it pocket-sized Europe and I totally agree with that. As I write these lines, I am sitting in a chic hotel room at the Kempinski Palace Portoroz and already know that tomorrow I will travel on to Italy with a heavy heart.
Although Slovenia is so small, it offers an incredible variety of different landscapes and beautiful towns and villages. I was told the average tourist spends 2.8 nights in Slovenia. With my four overnight stays, I’m already swinging to the top. Nevertheless, Slovenia definitely deserves more attention and we can all take an example from the Swiss couple who spent their two-week honeymoon here. In the next few weeks you will find a lot of information and pictures about our trip here, to get you in the mood I will show you “my” Slovenia in an Instagram fast-forward.
