My winter on Instagram – Part II

If you’re reading this, I’m already looking for spring in Istanbul and that’s why I would like to officially end the winter season 2012/2013 with a review of my experiences (but it’s not impossible that I’ll have to go to the snow again in March). In the first “My Winter on Instagram” post I told you what I experienced in November and December. January and February were all about Switzerland with a short but incredibly great detour to Austria. Here are my most beautiful Instagram pictures.

1. Ski & culture at the same time? Yes, I was able to experience and test the fact that these two activities can be combined incredibly well in Innsbruck thanks to an invitation from Tirol Tourism. Conclusion: Innsbruck I like you very much.

2. Back in Zurich, we put Heidiland through its paces – with skiing in the Flumserberge, tobogganing on the Pizol and wellness in Bad Ragaz – the motto “Pizol with heart” fits perfectly.

3. During the ski trip to the Alpenarena Flims-Laax-Falera, the weather and the slopes were wonderful, but somehow the area still didn’t convince me completely…

4. My “old” homeland – the Bernese Oberland – was not neglected either. With the most beautiful view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, we made the slopes in the Kleine Scheidegg ski area unsafe and experienced a wonderful morning on the toboggan run in the Kiental.

5. A snowshoe tour was also on the program and for that we went to the Gantrisch Nature Park – the article about it will follow in March :).

When I had enough of all the snow in between, I did the following:

6. Visit the palm trees in the sunniest part of Switzerland – you can always rely on Locarno

7. Eat breakfast, drink hot chocolate and visit thermal baths

8. And take beautiful photos – like here in Zermatt on our 5 (!) hour winter hike

Yes dear winter, we had a good time together – a lot of snow, a lot of sun, a lot of experiences <3 and how was your winter?
