InstaTipp – discover Switzerland via Instagram

The warm spring sun really whets the appetite for outdoor adventures. I have set myself a special goal for this summer. I want to discover as many small lakes as possible in Switzerland. Diligent readers of this blog know that I already pursued this goal last summer and have already shown you one or the other crystal clear mountain lake.

For a first rough lake evaluation for this summer, I clicked through Instagram. It’s hard to believe how many beautiful lakes there are in Switzerland. In any case, this research has shown me one thing – summer is too short for jumping into every lake. The following lakes are on my shortlist:

Murtel da Lai, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life in Bergün

Stellisee, spend the night at the Fluhalp mountain restaurant (Zermatt) for dreamlike morning pictures

Egelsee, the largest natural lake in the canton of Aargau, is located in Bergdietikon

Lake Cresta, natural swimming pool between Flims and Trin-Mulin

Lake Staz, is located in the Upper Engadine near St. Moritz

Arnensee, reservoir in the Tschärzistal (near Gstaad)

Greifensee, the second largest lake in the canton of Zurich

Lägh da la Duana, far away in Bregaglia

Etang de la Gruère, an enchanting moorland lake between Tramelan and Saignelégier

Lauenensee, near Gstaad and if you don’t know the song, click here now

And which mountain lake insider tip do you have in store?
