Pleasure hiking in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis

As reported, in addition to Gourmet & Spa, the mountain landscape around the Hotel Cervosa also contributed to the fact that I enjoyed my mountain weekend in Tyrol. Hotel guests receive the “Super.Summer.Card” (yes, that’s what it’s called) on arrival, which is included in the price of accommodation. The card includes the use of the mountain railways and the hiking shuttle bus (runs from Serfaus to Ladis), guided mountain hikes as well as many attractions and animations for children. This is one of the reasons why the area is so popular with families.

We started our hiking day with the shuttle bus and drove it to the Möseralm valley station in Fiss. From here we took the gondola up to the mountain station. When my friend discovered the Fisser speedster (a summer toboggan run) from the gondola, the child in him could hardly be stopped. I was just able to prevent us from having to take this breakneck looking ride – yes, I was the fun brake. For me, enjoyment was in the foreground and so we left the children’s paradise on the Möseralm behind us and headed for the easily hikeable panorama pleasure trail in the direction of the Komperdell middle station above Serfaus.

Without any major inclines, the path leads along the hills through beautiful alpine landscapes and offers fantastic mountain views. And yes, the Tyroleans simply know how to relax. Admittedly, the Swiss can still take a leaf out of their book. The highlight of the pleasure trail are the feel-good stations along the way. Hach, hammocks on alpine meadows with cows and flowers are just wonderful!

From the Komperdell middle station, we took the gondola up to the Lazid at 2,350 m above sea level. Up here, the hiking area for the ambitious mountaineers begins and this offer also leaves nothing to be desired.

Back at the middle station, we made our way back to Serfaus on foot. We hiked along the Six Senses Adventure Trail of the Senses to St. Zeno in Serfaus. All in all, we were on foot for a leisurely 4-5 hours that day.

Since the sun was shining so beautifully, we wanted to go to the water the next day. Again, there are several options. From Fiss we hiked comfortably through the beautiful alpine landscape with the incredibly photogenic, old hay dryers to the Wolfsee. Around the lake there are numerous activities for children. Without children, you can also enjoy the sun on the loungers or spot Laudegg Castle in Ladis from the observation tower.

For water lovers, a detour to the natural bathing lake Überwasser is recommended (admission adults 3.50 euros / children 2.50 euros). We didn’t dare to go into the cool water, but enjoyed an Almdudler on the sun terrace.

As you can see, the activities are numerous and cover many preferences. The area also offers bikers a wide range of trails. However, the whole infrastructure also has its disadvantages. You shouldn’t expect to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature alone. The region is popular and therefore you will meet many fellow hikers, especially on the easy hiking trails. However, if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle, you are well served by the paths off the theme trails.
