Travel Snapshot – Boston Trinity Church

In Boston’s Back Bay district, some architectural highlights can be admired around Copley Square. These include Trinity Church, which was named one of the ten most important buildings in the United States by the American Institute of Architects. Trinity Church is located right next to Boston’s tallest building – the glass John Hancock Tower. I really like the “interplay” of the two buildings and think it’s great how “old” is reflected in “new”.

Trinity Church was planned as a modified Greek cross with four arms extending from a central tower. The church is open to the public. However, if you only want to go inside to admire the architecture (and not to pray), you will be asked to buy an entrance ticket (around the 7 dollars per person). But the price is worth it because the church is really great both outside and inside.
