My winter on Instagram (or: Winter, where are you?)

It’s time again to let you marvel at my Instagram pictures and if you don’t follow me on Instagram yet, then it’s high time to change this NOW! ;) But enough of the threats, that’s how my winter has been so far… whereby, um, winter?

Discovered: the perfect hut for the New Year’s Eve party. With all of you together. Next year, I promise!

Enjoyed: Christmas at home without snow but with treats from my mom, the cookie queen.

Experienced: Tallinn is just great (even without snow)

Wanted: Snow is totally overrated, honestly! Southern Finland can be so beautifully mushy grey-yellow-brown in January:

Found: And then on the way to South Tyrol I discover it – winter has hidden in the Swiss National Park! Oh yes, and I took these pictures through the dirty windows of a moving post bus. I ask Postbus AG to clean its windows better ;).

Survived: In South Tyrol, at least at 2000 m above sea level, there was enough snow to sleep comfortably in a tent. The whole story, including a flood of pictures, will follow here soon.

If you ever have a stopover of an hour in Innsbruck, I recommend a detour to the bar of the new Hotel aDLERS, which is only five minutes away from the train station. The latte macchiato costs about 3.30 euros and the view is free.

So, now I’m curious to see how Mother Hulda will be in shape in the next few weeks.

By the way, if you also have an Instagram account, please write it here as a comment. Personally, I like to be inspired by Instagram pictures for my next travel destinations.

Note: The stay in Finland was supported by VisitFinland. The Basecamp adventure was supported by Hotel Imperialart. As always, my readers can be sure that I always represent my views and enthusiasm here.
