City-Trip Handbag – handbag for city trips

I spent the last 10 days in Paris and then in Alsace, mainly in Strasbourg. We traveled to Paris by TGV, as this is really a quick and comfortable travel option from Switzerland. Now I want to show you what I take with me in my handbag for such a city trip.

My new favorite bag is a model from Michael Kors, which I bought in Florida in February. I often take a backpack with me instead of the bag, as it is usually more practical. For Paris, however, I found a bag a bit more stylish.

My basic equipment recently includes a Kindle eReader, which I think is absolutely great. I love to read a lot. The only thing that was tedious so far was that you always had to carry an insane amount of books with you. This problem has now been solved. Furthermore, the Sony Xperia U (no, not an Iphone) and an Ipod belong in my handbag.

Of course, my handbag also includes the corresponding travel guide including a city map (I like “analogue” maps), a notebook and writing materials in the pretty Caran d’Ache box.

The You Nails Mango Hand Cream and Clinique Moisturizing Gel help with dry skin and are always with you. In addition, a Labello and Nivea moisturizing wipes are part of my basic equipment. I find the moisturizing wipes super practical because they are versatile. I always have two wallets with me. One is for the cards and the big notes, the other is for small change. I like colored non-everyday wallets and often buy new small pouches when I travel to add them to my existing collection :-).

Chewing gum always belongs in your handbag. In addition to mint flavor, I really like the Skai chewing gum with cinnamon flavor. I individualized my Moleskine agenda with a colored postcard. Despite my smartphone and computer, I still stopped at the paper agenda and wrote down all the appointments there. In the picture you can also see my Sony Cybershot digital camera, which fits well in my handbag. In addition, a Canon EOS 600d is often included.

Always in my bag is my beloved Esprit sunglasses and a scarf (here also one from Esprit). I find scarves totally practical, as they are versatile and can be quickly put on as a warming addition in cold or windy weather. So, now I’m curious what you pack in your handbags and backpacks for city trips?
