Travel Outlook – 2013

The new year is only a few days old and yet my travel calendar has already filled up considerably. First of all, I wish you all, dear readers, a happy new year and hope you have also “arrived” safely. I would like to show you my tentatively planned long-distance trips for 2013 and am looking forward to all your comments, tips etc. about the individual trips

17 – 19 January: Innsbruck

My first trip in 2013 took me to Innsbruck with the campaign Bergwinter Tirol erleben & berichten. After visiting the city for the first time in autumn last year, I am really looking forward to seeing you again. In addition, it will be my first time “Skiing in Austria”. I’m already excited and hope my ordered GoPro Hero 3 will arrive by then, so that I can capture the piste adventure on film :-).

28 February – 3 March: Istanbul

Finally, finally it’s time to go to Istanbul. For a long time I really wanted to go to this city, where you can walk from Europe to Asia. You can already look forward to (hopefully) many great pictures.

7 – 11 March: ITB Berlin

Last year I was in Berlin twice and this year my favorite city is on the program again. I will combine my visit to Berlin with a visit to ITB Berlin and am looking forward to getting to know many other travel bloggers and, of course, to interesting conversations. In addition, during my stay in Berlin, a trip to the former Tempelhof Airport must finally be included. I’ve seen so many Berlin corners by now, but this highlight is still missing.

21. März – 8. April: USA (Florida / New Orleans / Boston)

Probably my biggest trip in 2013 takes me to the beautiful USA again. The whole trip was a bit of a coincidence, as I won two hotel nights at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa on Mrs. O Around the World. Since we didn’t see everything during our last visit to Florida, the decision was made relatively quickly to visit the Sunshine State again. The itinerary is as follows:

  • 3 Tage Miami
  • 4 days mini-cruise to the Bahamas (Nassau, Coco Cay)
  • 6 Tage Florida Golfküste (Naples, Sanibel, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Crystal River)
  • 3 Tage New Orleans
  • 4 Days Boston

I think it’s going to be very versatile and I’m looking forward to the beautiful beaches in Florida, the jazz in New Orleans and absolutely everything in Boston.

9 May – 12 May: Vienna

Via Ascension Drive we go to Vienna with a good colleague. My first and only visit to Vienna lasted only one day (it’s called speed travel ;-)) and was a few years ago. For this reason, I will probably go through the whole tourist program. We are allowed to spend the night in a great GowithOh apartment and I am looking forward to reporting on my experiences.

16. – 21. May: Portugal

In addition to Istanbul, Lisbon is also one of the places that is at the top of the trip waiting list. Thanks to some reports from other travel bloggers, I have now also virtually acquired a taste for Porto and would like to connect the two cities in my trip. Nothing has been booked yet, but the time slot is definitely reserved in my agenda.

21 – 23 June: Silvaplana, St. Moritz

Finally, finally, Graubünden will also receive some love from me. I’ve never been to St. Moritz (and I almost can’t believe it myself). For this reason, I am looking forward to an early summer discovery tour and relaxing spa moments at the Hotel Nira Alpina.

3.10 – 6.10: Ireland / TBEX

I have now decided that I will combine my visit to Ireland with my participation in TBEX Europe in Dublin. The registration is confirmed and I am looking forward to the great event and getting to know many travel bloggers. Since the TBEX only lasts two days, there will certainly be some time afterwards to finally explore Ireland.

In addition to the trips listed here, there will certainly be some short trips in Switzerland and neighboring countries. For example, I would like to visit Hamburg, Munich and Colmar. 2013 I’m convinced you’re going to be great!
