A stick travels through the blogs

Do you know any blog stick actions? No? Me neither… So here’s the explanation: blog sticks are actions where a blogger starts by asking a list of questions to other bloggers. Carina from A City Girl threw a stick out into the blogging world in January. In addition to Jana from Sonne & Wolken, Doris from Littlemissitchyfeet and Conni from Planet Backpack, it hit me. Of course, I’m happy that the stick got lost in Switzerland and here are my answers to Carina’s questions:

  • What has been your furthest journey so far?

Phuket, Tailand – exactly 13,400 km from Bern.

  • What is the most important thing for you on a trip?

Mhmmm, difficult… I like to capture all the new impressions with my camera, try new food, walk through foreign cities and just enjoy the moment.

  • Where in the world would you want to live if you had the choice?

Basically, I also like travelling because I always like to come home to Switzerland. But if I had to look for another place to live, it would have to be a dynamic, lively city – like Berlin, London, New York or the Georgetown district of Washington D.C. or, of course, Cape Town – the most beautiful city in the world.

  • What do you like about the city you live in?

It is not for nothing that Zurich always ranks very high in the quality of life rankings (usually in competition with Vienna). I like the fact that Zurich is at the same time versatile and manageable and is constantly evolving. In addition, as a newcomer, I still feel a bit like a tourist, which is also something nice.

  • If you could change one thing about the world as it is now, what would it be?

One thing?! Then I would give Switzerland access to the sea – everything else is secondary;)

  • Blog your favorite photo from your last trip

I spent the last weekend in Istanbul and took a lot of great photos. But my favorite photo (quite apart from all the “normal” tourist highlights) is clearly this cute cat, which slumbers comfortably in the middle of the bazaar hustle and bustle. A little relaxation would do us all good :).

Turkey offers a lot of culinary highlights. But I am very enthusiastic about the Ottoman cuisine and wished for such a great and delicious mezze platter every day.
