Sunday trip in Switzerland
Does the scene sound familiar? Sunday morning, sleep in and then start the day comfortably with coffee. A day without plans. But lounging around on the sofa all day isn’t an alternative? On this page you will find my tips for your next Sunday trip, regardless of the weather. If it rains, it’s best to have breakfast at a great brunch restaurant. My favorite places in Zurich are Kafi Dihei and Dini Mueter. In the Bern region I am usually drawn to high places. For example on the Niesen – Thun’s local mountain offers a great atmosphere even in bad weather. Alternatively, it’s worth taking a detour to the Thun steamboat. Museums are also a good alternative to bad weather.

When the sun is shining, I like long walks, spontaneous boat trips or a stroll through the old town of a small Swiss town. In Zurich I’m drawn to the Uetliberg or the Sihlwald. The most beautiful view over Lake Zurich is from the Albishorn. A nice Sunday excursion is a boat trip across Lake Thun with a culinary stop in Oberhofen, followed by window shopping through the Obere Altstadtgasse. This is even possible with children and children. And if you like to move, you can take a short detour into the mountains: to the Flumserberge, the Gantrisch or the Oeschinensee.

A Sunday outing brings us into the fresh air and gives us strength for the new working week. My credo: Get out into the fresh air.
